The name AVE comes from the Neighborhoods Program Mission of Intent which states , "If we become A- Available and V- Vulnerable, we can E- Expect great things!"  Great things do happen in our community because of this program.  Our parish is divided into 26 neighborhoods, each having several coordinators.  The director works closely with the coordinators and the parish office.  The AVE Neighborhood's main purpose is to arrange funeral meals and coordinate "Soup Night's" on Friday evenings during Lent, where meatless soup and bread are served.  Altar Dressing at Sunday Masses is also a function of this program.
